Dr. Prashant Dubey was born at Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) in July 1978. He obtained his M.Sc. from DDU Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur, India in June 1999. He received his Ph.D degree from the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK), India under the supervision of Professor Dr Sabyasachi Sarkar in 2006. He worked as a BK21 Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with Professor C.J. Lee at Korea University, Seoul, South Korea (2006-2008) and then as an Assistant Professor in the Lovely Professional University, Punjab, India for a year. He then joined the Centre of Material Sciences at the Allahabad University, Allahabad in November 2009 as an Assistant Professor.
His research intrests are in the area of Nanomaterials, Carbon Nanotubes, Anti-Cancer Drugs, their Biological interactions and Porphyrin Chemistry.
